United Inspection Services was formed out of the need for various on-site inspection and quality control testing services. In August 1993, as the result of a private acquisition of the Jim Thorpe operation from United States Testing Company, Inc, this company was created. (USTC) an SGS Company. USTC had been providing complete on-site quality control inspection and laboratory testing including Geotechnical Investigations for numerous clients in the industrial and commercial sector.
Prior to Jim Thorpe, most of the personnel were involved with USTC at the Susquehanna Nuclear Power Plant, Berwick, Pa for up to 13 years. The company structure consists of a Manager of Operations, Lab Director (PE), Lab Manager, Project Manager, Geotechnical Consultant and various Concrete, Soils and Structural Steel Inspectors/Technicians. It is because of these many years working in those fields that our technicians and inspectors hold such high skill and knowledge in the field of geotechnical investigating, quality control, fire proofing and more. We offer a service of accuracy and reliability. We will provide you with the best quality service to successfully complete your projects or jobs.
