Periodically, United Inspection Services has available entry-level and experienced construction inspector positions for multiple field assignments. To begin with, we provide training. Vehicle a plus but not required (expenses paid). Competitive salary with benefits. Permanent and seasonal positions available.
Job Description: Construction inspectors involve theirselves in both field inspections and laboratory assignments. Field Inspections of building and highway construction will include soils, foundations, concrete, reinforcing steel, masonry, asphalt pavements, and structural steel. Likewise, field testing activities will include preparing concrete cylinder samples and testing the compaction of backfill materials. Additionally, this will include taking concrete/asphalt core samples and inspection of steel. Furthermore, inspectors will assist in material laboratory testing including concrete cylinder breaks and recording data. In addition, this will include soil moisture content tests, fireproofing material weight and density analysis, and soil sieve analysis.
Requirements:
- High school or trade school education
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Current driver’s license and vehicle
- Ability to complete report forms
